Request to make Rightload a portable app
« on: January 28, 2009, 05:36:08 AM »
Since Firefox has a portable version, it would be very helpful for me to have Rightload as a portable app too. This way I can use my portable flash disk anywhere in the world and download stuff that I need. There won't be any need to install in a foreign PC that I might not have admin rights to.

It doesn't need to have all the features of the installable version. At least it will allow resuming downloads in my current location that were stopped in another location. This should be quite a hit with those using portable apps.

If you call Rightload.exe (from 1.6 Beta 4) with the parameter "--portable" (via a shortcut) it should now run in portable mode. I added an option to the installer that already does this, so you can "install" the portable version to your thumbdrive. Please let me know if you have any problems!
