Some feature requests for making back-ups
« on: February 24, 2008, 07:58:11 PM »
Hello,

First of all, I really like this neat tool, great work!   :D

I use  RL for making back-ups from my documents to my  DriveHQ account. For free accounts they have a upload limit of 50 MB per session (if someone knows a better password-protected FTP service, please let me know). That's why it would be useful if there is a adjustable upload limit within the account settings.
Secondly, it would be very(!) neat if you can overwrite older files on the goal location by newer versions. The last feature I would like to suggest is to store the settings whether to create new folders or not within the account settings.

Thank you, and keep up the good work

I may include something like this in the future, but right now I think only very few people would actually have a use for such a function. It would probably be easier if you just checked the file sizes yourself before you uploaded them.

If a file already exists on the server, you will get a dialog asking you what to do. One of the options is to overwrite it.

The last feature I would like to suggest is to store the settings whether to create new folders or not within the account settings.
I will add this to the next version.

I know about that dialog, but in that case I have to manually check large amounts of files. Most of them are already up to date, but some of them are not.

I will add this to the next version.

So you are looking for an 'Overwrite if newer' option?
