Title: Thumbnail creation broken?
Post by: nafs on March 09, 2009, 02:54:04 PM
Hi!

First of all let me tell you how much I love Rightload. I just found it via the Screenshot Captor (http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/screenshotcaptor/index.html) support forum. It does exactly what I need, and more!

Now, for even more greatness, Mouser, the creator of Screenshot Captor, has agreed to build in post-capture command line execution into Screenshot Captor, for even better automation.

I originally planned to first create a thumbnail using Easy Thumbnails (http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/index.php) before passing both the original and the thumbnail filenames to Rightload for uploading.

Now I just found out that Rightload is able to create thumbnails, which would make Easy Thumbnails obsolete.

There seems to be a little bug, however. Whenever Rightload tries to create a thumbnail I get an error "Invalid pointer operation".
Despite the error message the thumbnail is created and uploaded correctly.
The original images are PNGs. I am using the latest beta (1.6.0 Build 1250).

If I may ask, what algorithm are you using for thumbnail creation? I found the "Nearest" filter to be best for my needs (screenshot of chart windows). Any chance to build in this and/or other algorithms/filters? The quality slider only applies to JPG thumbnails, doesn't it?

Thanks for your great tool,
Stefan
