Title: Rightload 1.7 Vista 64x Errors

I get these errors every time I start rightload, from sendto, from the menu, from wherever. The files are not uploaded and I just have to X out after closing all the errors. I've been a long time user of the program and its killing me to have this happen. Please let me know what I can do to help you help me fix this. I've also reinstalled and deleted all rightload folders/files to my knowledge and the error still comes back.

Did the error come with the upgrade to 1.7 or did it just randomly stop working? Does your Windows username contain any special characters?

If you are familiar with it, it would be great if you could use regedit, go to HKCU\Software\Rightload and HKLM\Software\Rightload and tell me the values there.

This actually started happening when i was using 1.6 beta, I cannot pinpoint when it actually stopped working because it was working.

HKCU\Software\Rightload

HKLM\Software\Rightload

I could not find this entry anywhere under software :/

What is the path to your user directory under Windows? It should be something like C:\Users\YourName\

C:\Users\Johne

Nothing too fancy

Anything else for me to do or try?

You could try setting the config path to some other directory in the settings and see if that helps. Also, you could try to delete all plugins to make sure no problems come from them.

Let me know how it goes!

Same results with an installation to C:\Rightload

Outside of Program Files\Rightload, are there any other areas to be scrubbing?

I didn't mean installing the whole program to a different directory, I was talking about setting a custom config path in the options (under advanced). If that doesn't work because of the same error, you could also try manually setting the UseAppData setting in the registry to zero (0) and see if that helps.

I changed UseAppData to 0 under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Rightload and now it works! So I guess this is a bug? Any additional testing you need me to do/try, let me know.

It seems like for some reason Rightload can't write to your normal configuration folder. Could you go to your AppData directory (go to Start -> Run and enter "%appdata%") and check if there is a directory called "Rightload" there? And if there is, could you see what files are in there and what permission settings they have?

No Rightload folder for me. %appdata% takes me to C:\Users\Johne\AppData\Roaming

Does it work if you create a folder "Rightload" there and change the UseAppData setting back to one?

I created the folder and changed the setting back to 1 and still got the same errors.

I replaced the exe w/ the file you linked and then changed my registry setting back to 1 on UseAppData and no errors.
