Title: extensions, active mode
Post by: jockel on December 02, 2007, 03:32:50 PM
Hi,

@active mode
if set to active mode and I try to start a submission, an error pops up, claiming:
"I won´t open a connection to (only to )"
Ignore and continue?
No upload happens!

@extensions
I can not set or edit extensions, selecting the checkboxes beside that
option allows double selection (what I would not have expected as desired behaviour)!

Thanks for the bug reports!

Unfortunately I'm not sure what might be causing your problem with active mode. It works perfectly for me, even though I'm behind a router. I could add an option to enter your actual external IP address somewhere (which should fix the problem) but I would prefer to find an automatic solution. Can you connect to the server using other FTP programs or do you get a similar error?

The transfer type setting not working is definitely a bug, though. It will be fixed in the next beta.

I use Total Commander and Filezilla and Winscp on the same machine for FTP without any problem.
About NAT/Router I have to confess, what might be difference to usual setups, there are
several cascading NAT-Routers. But all other applications see this as completely transparent
and do not require special setups or actions. But, I tried this for curiosity only! Most important,
passive mode works fine (beside the resume thing)!
