since this morning I'm getting this dialog for PNG images uploaded to Tinypic..
(http://imgur.com/kIe7u.png)
any ideas? ::)
using the latest rightload v1.9 on win7 x64
thanks!
-
Is it still happening or is it possible that this was just a temporary problem?
-
seems like it was a temporary problem- sorry for the false alarm! :)
-
no guys...not a false alarm they are now using the Captcha method before you can upload an image.
I've been trying for days to upload and decided to visit their site and do it manually that's how I found out.

Just found out the same thing, damn captcha! and Imageshack is such a BAAAAAD image host, the quality is rubish.
Is this fixable? If it's not, can we make another plugin for a different host?
Thanks.
-
i vote for imgur.com
;D
-
i vote for imgur.com
;D
i second that!!!
imgur.com is what i've been using for the past year or so!!!
Once you go imgur, you never go back!!!!!
Please make a plugin for imgur.com
its 100 times better than tinypic anyways!
many thanx!
-
yeah I'm guessing that Tinypic won't reverse their use of the 'Captcha' from now on which makes the plugin useless from now on...
I hope an alternative can be added sometime soon.
-
it is fairly easy to make a custom XML plugin for Rightload to support imgur.com
I did it in about 5 mins....... working great now
u need to visit their site and request an API key once u do that the rest you can do via the rightload GUI just create a new plugin and fill in the required fields :)
-
easy for you perhaps... ;D
-
can u share the plugin with us please?
:)
-
ok- here u go.
just get your API key first from imgur.com (click here to register for an api key -- its free (http://imgur.com/register/api/))
wait for your key (should come pretty quickly)
save the XML file I attached here and edit the part where it says
AdditionalFormFields="key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
change xxxxxxx to your real API key
then in Rightload go to Tools->import servers
import the xml file
done ;D
-
WOW THANKS!!!!!!!!! :o
-
Bloody wonderful....many thanks indeed for sharing this with us... ;D
it's much appreciated.
Mike.
-
gotta love rightload :D
-
yep..love rightload... ;D
imgur do provide their own send to option but I wanted to stay with rightload...
now thanks to luckman212 I can.
-
is there a way to upload via rightload into a personal album on imgur?
-
I have also added an "official" plugin for imgur to the download page now. :)
Unfortunately their API does not seem to support uploading to accounts, so that will not be possible for now.
-
cool, thanks!!
question: who's API key gets used when the plugin is used? or is it using some other method?
any way to allow the user to enter their own API key so the images are linked to their account?
-
I have also added an "official" plugin for imgur to the download page now. :)
THANX!!! ;D
-
Good idea - I just uploaded a new version of the plugin that lets you set the API key. Just download the ZIP file again and extract it, overwriting the old files.
By default it is using my own API key, but I assume that might cause problems if too many people use it at once.
-
grrrrrrrrrrr8 !! ;D
-
Many thanks 'nk' for the update...much appreciated
and thanks to 'luckman212' who also started the ball rolling... :)
-
wow guys, you are saints!
Thank you very much for making this plugin and putting it on the Download section! Just used it, worked like a charm!
I uploaded the same image twice, with imgur and rubishack to compare (i hate imageshack), the quality of imgur is so much superior, just like tinypic!
Thank you again guys!
Rightload for the champs.

No matter what I try, every time I import the imgur xml rightload tells me its not a valid server file.
What should the option section look like?
The plugin as downloaded looks like :
<api_key Description="API Key (can be obtained from imgur.com/register/api)" Default="" />
Should it be
<api_key Description="123456789123456789" Default="" />
or
<api_key Description="API Key (can be obtained from imgur.com/register/api)" Default="123456789123456789" />
or even
<api_key Description="API Key (123456789123456789)" Default="" />
I tried them all and non work anyway ???
Someone give us a clue - please ;D

Download Imgur Plugin --> Here! (http://rightload.org/files/plugins/Imgur.zip)
extract it into --> C:\Program Files\Rightload\servers\
then run RightLoad,
go to --> TOOLS --> IMPORT SERVERS
import imgur.xml located in --> C:\Program Files\Rightload\servers\
then in Rightload again, go to --> TOOLS --> OPTIONS
select the SERVERS tab,
then at the upper left of the screen, under 'rightload servers', click on 'Imgur.com'
now at the middle right of the screen, under 'Additional Form Fields', click on 'NEW'
in that box, paste an API KEY that you can freely obtain by going --> Here! (http://imgur.com/register/api/)
Then click OK
ENJOY!!!
-
Ahhh, At times i really hate being thick ;D
Thank you very, very much for that Eskro :) I owe you a beer :)
-
no problem dude..
when things are well explained, they are easy to follow....
maybe this small tutorial should be placed on RIGHTLOAD's website for others to follow....
would be easier for everybody...
-
That don't work either....up to step 5 is ok, importing the file still gives this
(http://i46.tinypic.com/2u71uub.jpg)
on win7 x64 ....if that makes any difference
-
why are you in PLUGINS folder?
should be in --> C:\Program Files\Rightload\servers\
-
The location of the file shouldn't make a difference...... its only a location to import from.
Plugins is the only folder I have in the rightload directory, thats where the imageshack and tinypic xml & dll's are which worked fine.
Tried the files in a 'servers' dir, same result :(
-
looks like u have a 64bit version of windows...
64 bit Compatibility
Starting from version 1.7, Rightload also contains a context menu extension that should work with 64 bit systems. This is highly experimental, though, and does not seem to work for some people right now. Instead, we recommend you use the Send To shortcuts.
guess you'll have to email the owner for support here... im on 32bit
-
Thanks for the suggestions :)
-
You do not need to use the "Import Server" tool for plugins! Just extract both the dll and the xml to your Rightload\plugins directory (which it looks like you did already) and then go to Tools -> Options -> Plugins and enable the new plugin by ticking the box in the left list.
I am sorry for the confusion!
-
Ahh.... that works !!
-
This may help fix the tinypic plug-in if you go to the developer section http://tinypic.com/developer.php that version of the uploader doesn't ask for CAPTCHA. Hope this helps ;D

bwahh,,, imgur.com for the win!!
