Rightload - Official Forums / Upload fails with error
« on: July 05, 2010, 11:06:42 PM »
I'm uploading to Imageshack and getting this error:

---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
An error occured while uploading file UI-mockups-08.jpg:

Upload failed - Element () does NOT contain a child with the value of 'links' <ticpp.cpp@597>
---------------------------
Abort   Retry   Ignore
---------------------------

First time I got it - I aborted and then pressed "Start Upload" button in the main window and it worked, but now I get this error few times in a row before a successful upload. Uploading via Imageshack web interface or Firefox toolbar works fine.

This is version 0.9 under Windows 7 x64.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit here. I also cannot get the context menu to show up. I have tried rebooting and the administrator fix suggested above. That's too bad because this looks like a very useful tool!

Did you install it as administrator?

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate (English). So far no problem, context menu works fine, "Send To" works as well.

First off,
THANK YOU
for adding support for ImageShack accounts. This is a welcomed functionality, especially since ImageShack broke all the old tools that worked fine.

Back to the topic.

For someone who uploads and shares screenshots often it's not very convenient to either keep Rightload open/minimized at all times or open it every time a screenshot needs to be uploaded.
What if Rightload had an option to run in background (tray icon) and watch for special key combo upon which it would take a screenshot, upload it and copy direct URL into clipboard? For example, Alt+Home for active window (similar to Alt+PrintScreen), Alt+End for full screen screenshot. Of course, this could be customizable. Screenshot file format would be .PNG or .JPG (option, since PNG would be very heavy in certain situations).

I understand that this is not exactly a core feature of Rightload, but since it's already offering screenshot upload it might as well be its another strong side.

That's bad news. Is it still not possible to upload images to my account? If no - are you planning to implement this feature anytime soon?
