Rightload - Official Forums / Re: about custom url tags

I'm sorry, I really don't understand what the problem is. I added the following line to the tags.xml file (above the line starting with <!--) and everything seems to work fine:

Code: [Select]
<Tag Name="Test URL" Result="<a href="javascript:void(SLB('$url','image','true',''));"><img src="$url" width="500" border="0"></a>" />

I am very sorry, but I don't really understand what the problem is. Could you please give me two examples: one of what the output looks like, and one of how you want the output to look like? Maybe that will help me understand.

I think installing it as usual and then just saving the config files to your flash drive would be the easiest solution. You'd still have to install updates from time to time, but at least you can share the configuration.

In order to enable the context menu items, Rightload would have to register a shell extension with Windows. This would not only make changes to the system, but also cause problems if you want to remove the flash drive containing Rightload from the computer again.

Since this would defeat the whole point of a portable application, it will unfortunately not be possible to enable the context menu. If you really want to do something like this, the only suggestion I could make is to put the installer on the drive, install Rightload where ever you need it, and then change the configuration directory to a folder on your flash drive. This would allow you to move your configuration between computers while still having the context menu.

Mike: Great, I wrote you a PM.

If anybody else is interested, feel free to message me too!

In the next version this should also be fixed. :)

PS: If you are interested in beta testing it, PM me!

Could you send me a message with an example of what they look like and what they should look like?

I think you misunderstood. I do use the preview option, it makes the links just fine.

I will need the same link to a file on the server multiple times. So to get this link i will re-upload the same file so that i can have rightload make the link again since that is easier then me trying to do it manually.

This option would allow rightload to skip the actual upload process (thus making things faster as some uploads can be fairly good sized) upload in these situations but still give me a link to the file already uploaded on the server.
What I meant was that you could just add the files to the queue (without uploading them) and then use the Preview URLs window to get the URLs. No need to actually start the upload.

noob question here
how can you upload the images into your account, example, an imageshack account.
Go to the plugin options (Tools -> Options -> Plugin tab -> Select imageshack on the left -> click Plugin Options button on the right) and enter your account data there. Keep in mind this information won't be encrypted though, so make sure your configuration data is not saved in a directory readable by others.

First, thank you very much for your suggestions!

The only thing that keeps bugging me about it is that i have to manually select "auto-sort" everytime i upload something. If i forget then things get put into the wrong folder and causes me some very annoying problems later when i realize it.

I would love the option to be able to set auto-sort as the default option for upload since that is all i use.
This will be included in the next version.

Also a 1 button upload via auto-sort option in the context menu would be nice as well. One that doesn't make you go into 2 sub-menus first. Say give an option to change the context menu to have the first "link" be to queue files and the first menu item be a 1 button upload to the default server via auto-sort. Or you the user could select to have the menu as it is setup now. Save a few button clicks.
This would be a bit more complicated to do. I would also like to avoid cluttering up the context menu too much. What you could do though is create a SendTo-Shortcut for the server (right-click on a server in the Servers tab), which will automatically upload to the default directory.

Lastly, I have a problem from time to time when uploading files again with the "remember this setting" option not remembering and forcing me to click the button for each file.
Could you please send me the _log.txt from when this happens? How to enable logging:,83.0.html

Another option to consider for this situation would be "don't upload but create a link to the file already on the server". There are many times i re-upload stuff just to get the link to it so i can use the link again.
Why don't you use the URL Preview window (File -> Preview URLs)?

Could you please try the steps described here and send me the resulting files:,83.0.html

The first problem might actually be cause by the second problem, since Rightload will always try to create a new directory but fail.

The second problem might be an issue with the setting 'use passive mode'. Try to select the server you want to upload to in the options (Tools -> Options -> Servers) and check the box for 'use passive mode' if it is unchecked or uncheck it if it is checked.

To immediately start the upload, you need to add the parameter "--autostart".

In the end, the command should look like this:
"...\Rightload.exe --autostart file1.txt file2.jpg ..."

Please see here for details:,157.0.html

Thanks for your thread! It would be great if you could help me out with some more of the requests from the pinned thread :)

I am sorry if I am a bit slow in replying to all your request, but this is more than a single person can handle :)

Right now I am looking into Google Docs, but it looks like it will be pretty hard to do without changing Rightload itself too much. I will let you know how it goes!
