Rightload - Official Forums / rightload running with restricted user ?
« on: January 03, 2008, 01:45:22 PM »
Hi,

testing RightLoad 1.0 Beta 2, until now I was unable to install as admin and
use rightload as a regular user.
- the servers set as admin are not available
- Trying to start rightload at once shows the error message
"Can not create file c:\programme\rightload\log.txt, access denied"

Rightload then starts, but there is no way to save settings/server.

I think it is essential to run rightload as restricted user to get this software
finally more spread!
My preferred mode (use in company environment to distribute larger
files in mails rather as a link then an attachment) would be to set up the
required server as admin and the restricted user can only use what was
already set up!

I would not mind to pay for a software doing that, and consider it
kind of incredible that it simply does not exist. Yes, I checked these
"alike" softwares available, sorry, thank you, no, mostly to bloated.

Rightload - Official Forums / extensions, active mode
« on: December 02, 2007, 03:32:50 PM »
Hi,

@active mode
if set to active mode and I try to start a submission, an error pops up, claiming:
"I won´t open a connection to (only to )"
Ignore and continue?
No upload happens!

@extensions
I can not set or edit extensions, selecting the checkboxes beside that
option allows double selection (what I would not have expected as desired behaviour)!

Hi,

using 1.0beta, stopping a lengthy upload (winxpsp2, fully patched) causes an access violation,
restarting upload does not proceed, you get the info that the file was partially uploaded, but you
end up with the message: "An error occurred, restarting at 0, ignore and continue" select ignore,
message: "No files uploaded". Resetting the queue or requeing the file does not help.
All you can do is delete the file fragment from server and then restart the upload.

Best regards

Rightload - Official Forums / Limit upload speed
« on: December 01, 2007, 03:16:44 PM »
Hi,

when uploading using rightload 1.0beta (same with previous versions), using
a browser on the same machine gets hard, as rightload does not leave
some bandwidth for the "backchannel" of other applications.
It would be nice to be able to limit the upload speed to a certain max. bandwidth!
Even if leaving 10% of the upload bandwidth untouched, browser performance
improves greatly. I tried that using other standard ftp clients which allow to throttle
upload speed.

Is there a chance to see that feature ?

Best regards

Rightload - Official Forums / Feature Request: show url at once
« on: July 03, 2007, 05:15:11 PM »
Hi,
I would like to have an option to see the URL (as provided at the end of the upload)
at once, when an upload is started.
Example, I write an e-mail, start uploading a file with the link to be included with the
e-mail and now have to wait until the upload is finished so I can complete the e-mail
and paste the link. If the upload is lengthy, this may take some time!

Thank you for looking into that! Comments?
