Rightload - Official Forums / Plugins Dont Seem to be Enabled When Enabled
« on: December 14, 2011, 08:51:37 AM »
I run Rightload by using the portable shortcut and i can see the plugins there in the list and enabled fine. When i run Rightload normally it wont see them there. As a result when i use the context menu to upload something the plugins show up in the menu but it doesnt actually start to upload to the place i choose as the plugin isnt being seen somehow.

My Scenario is that i want to upload to Flickr but imgur is chosen as my default plugin so when Rightload doesnt see the plugin there even though it shows on the context menu it just starts to upload to imgur.
I have chosen a custom location for config information to keep all files in one folder but i think somethings not quite working right.

EDIT:
Poked around some more and I guess I jumped the gun on posting this so in case anyone else has the same issue this is how I fixed it..... OR so it seems to be working.
I looked in the registry and was backing it up cause i was gonna fresh install.
then i noticed the following:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Rightload]
@="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Rightload"

Changed the Default entry to the path where the program is and everything seems to be working now.

Is there a way to run it in a semi-portable mode yet retain the context menu? What I am after is the config files remaining in the folder as the exe is at instead of going to the User directory by default, then could still keep the context menu. I prefer this option not for running it on a flash drive but just keeping file locations neater and not strewn around my drive.

I realise i just kinda answered my own question but it was still kind of a hassle to get it working right as I kept losing my servers list and plugins list in the context menu.
Finally found the Custom Settings Folder option.

I noticed a while ago i started getting erros when trying to use the imageshack plugin so i checked tehir site and saw they updated the site a bit so it hought maybe they changed the protocol or something.....
so i have screenshotted a few of the errors i get with various  filename formats  as sometimes  they will work but sometimes they wont.

has some sort of flash uploader though so i dunno how to get this to work in addition to not knowing how to do regex or what form fields to use.

it does say "(In Portable Mode)" in the title bar however if i remove the folder from the C:\Documents and Settings\<profile>\Application Data\Rightload  then it doesnt have any of my settings even though theyre also copied in the "Rightload_Config" directiory where the exe resides as well.

after some playing around while i was making this post i guess i forced it to create or whatever its own new settings files and i got the new options in Advanced  which allowed me to set the location of the config files.  now it all seems to be working the way it should be.

i backed up my FTPs and then removed all the config files from both locations (Documents and Settings, and Rightload_Config folders) then i opened the program and made my settings changes.

one thing i think i noticed though is when its activated from the context menu it doesnt seem to run the portable mode shortcut but rather the normal rightload.exe.  is the portable thing just a loader?

for some reason even if i use the Run Rightload Portable shortcut it still needs to get config data from C:\Documents and Settings\<profile>\Application Data\Rightload\

i would like to have all config and executables in one folder for simplicity but its not working out.

the Plugin: ImageShack will show up in the Pulldown list and is able to be selected for default server but it doesnt show up in the context menu when i right click an image file

10
its still not able to get the URL after the upload.

unless i dont know hwo the plugins thing is supposed to work.

i used to have 1.5 installed and suddenly got this error so thinking the new beta might fix it i got that and installed it and same thing.
uploading to a private FTP works fine. its just uploading to imageshack so im thinking imageshack changed something maybe.
